The town of Amherst has a commitment to maintain the town's rural character and preserving Amherst's history is a commitment by residents.
Residents take daily strolls down to the historic village of Amherst or walk over to Wilkins School to watch a game. We lived on Mack Hill for years and enjoyed the quiet country atmosphere, plus the easy access to Route 101 for commuting and of course the easy walk to the Village to visit the Amherst Town Library or run in to Moulton's for a hot cup of soup or groceries.
We are big fans of Amherst Village and the Mack Hill area of town.
